GOOD
CONVERSATIONS
IN THE
CHURCHYARD
Janice Arrowsmith, of the Blackpool Fylde
& Wyre Branch, was blessed with a lovely
warm day when St Chad's Church in
Poulton-Le-Fylde held their “Church
in the churchyard” event.
It proved a great opportunity for Janice (pictured right
with fellow branch member Julia Walmsley) to offer
literature from the table GOOD NEWS for Everyone!
The table was near the gate, so there was plenty of
“through traffic” and, with a good range of literature
including the Explore and HOPE magazines, together
with New Testaments, many good conversations were Then there was Nikki who had had a near death
held. Some people really opened their hearts: the experience but it was obvious she was not yet saved, and

MISSION FOR
NEW STUDENTS
One of the new members at Cambridge Branch, Chaltu, is a
student. She shared the following account of a Christian Union
Mission meeting at Middlesex University with fellow branch
member, Jane Mann, recently.
"I have just finished our Prayer Meeting on campus, and it was so encouraging to
see students from different religious backgrounds worship and pray with us.
Last week there was a Mission on the campus aimed at the new students who
joined this year. For two days, we shared the Gospel and invited new students to
evening worship and free refreshments. We also distributed 50 GOOD NEWS for
Everyone! New Testaments and 23 HOPE magazines. During those two days 13 new
students accepted Jesus as their Saviour.
Today I have received information from the group that a few of them went to
the church near the University - one student is going to be baptised and another
is considering getting baptised. This evening, at our prayer meeting, one non-
believer, one Jew and one Catholic joined us.
It is so encouraging what God has done. We need strong prayer that many may
come and join us - as well as prayer for those who have started coming to church
to continue to fellowship with Jesus. Please pray for the one who is going to be
baptised and for those who came and didn’t decide to receive Jesus.”
Be encouraged - the Lord is clearly at work.
